Building Maintenance Worker/Groundskeeper

Location:  Camp Hidden Lake, Lexington, Mississippi

Position:  Building Maintenance Worker/Groundskeeper

Position Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $15.25-$16.00 per hour

About this opportunity: 

Performs routine repairs and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and vehicles

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs routine groundskeeping work to ensure the beautification of the landscape.
• Performs minor plumbing and carpentry repair work.
• Regularly cleans building and sanitizes as necessary.

What we are looking for in you:

• High school diploma or G.E.D.

•  

  Two years of experience in handling minor building and maintenance repairs and good skill in the use of hand, lawn, and power tools,

   

• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Licenses and Certifications

Valid State Driver's License

Bulldozer Certification

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects (25-50 lbs.).  Physical ability to "team lift" heavy materials, supplies and equipment (50-100 lbs) occasionally. Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing. Ability to read and follow a map and/or hand-written directions.

Work requires working with cleaning chemicals and may involve discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
