Location: Augusta Area Command Kroc Center

This is Part-time Position

About this opportunity:

Works as an attendant in the fitness/exercise room.  Ensure the safe use of the facilities by assisting patrons with the equipment. 

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Assists and works under the supervision of the Health and Fitness Manager, as supported by the Health and Fitness Coordinator.
  • Maintains safety and cleanliness of facility and fitness equipment.
  • Ensures the safe use of the facility by assisting members with the equipment and offering fitness assessments and equipment orientations
  • Designs personalizes workout programs for their clients to maximize exercise safety and effectiveness
  • Promotes all Kroc Center program offerings
  • Reports all equipment and fitness area problems to the Health and Fitness Coordinator and will notify members and staff when machines are out of working order or in need of repair
  • Enforces all rules that pertain to the fitness and exercise room and facility on a constant basis.
  • Assists in any emergencies or accidents and report incidents in timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

What we are looking for in you:

  • High School diploma. Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or related field is a plus, And
  • Two (2) years’ experience working in the fitness industry.
  • Recognized Group Exercise or Personal Training certification is preferred, Or
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to train all fitness levels. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to instruct and motivate people.
