The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for a Pianist for the Venice Corps (Church)located in Venice, Florida.

Job Summary

Plays the piano during Corps programs and worship services.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of the proper methods for playing the piano.

Ability to follow and adapt to the Music Director's lead.

Ability to attend Corps programs as directed including Sunday worship programs.

Education and Experience

No formal education is required.

One year experience playing a piano for large groups,

or

any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Ability to meet attendance requirements.

Ability to read and communicate the English language.

Ability to read music and play the piano.

Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
