The Salvation Army, an international recognized non-profit, faith based organization, has a job opening for a Seasonal Full Time Christmas Driver for The Salvation Army of Concord North Carolina.
 

JOB SUMMARY

Drives Salvation Army vehicle to transport bell ringers to and from kettle locations.
 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of the assigned geographic area. Ability to organize route in a manner that saves time and gasoline consumption. Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with co-workers. Ability to exert the physical energy required to performing duties given. Ability to perform continuous stooping, standing and climbing as well as lift and carry and/or push/ pull moderate (25-50 lbs) and possibly heavy (50 -100 lbs).
 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED preferred.
 

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

Valid Driver’s license.
 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Ability to meet attendance requirements, ability to read and communicate, ability to operate commercial equipment, ability to exert the physical energy required to performing duties given, ability to perform continuous stooping, standing and climbing as well as lift and carry and/or push/pull moderate (25 – 50 lbs)and possibly heavy (50-100 lbs) materials and donations. Work is performed in a warehouse building with some exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, dust and/or disagreeable sights and orders.
