Summary:
The Custodian will be responsible for all housekeeping of the Boys
and Girls Club.

Functions:
This job description should not be interpreted

identify the essential functions and requirements of this position. The incumbent may be requested to perform
job-related responsibilities and tasks other than those stated in this job
description.
1.
Chapel: Dust wooden surfaces, vacuum the carpet,
pick up all papers left over from the meetings, make sure all songbooks are in
their proper places and notify the maintenance staff of any problems with light
bulbs, etc.
2.
Bathrooms: Clean all sinks, toilets and urinals,
check paper supplies, (toilet paper and paper towels, etc.), sweep and mop the
floors.
3.
Classrooms: Vacuum, empty the trash, clean the
furniture and straighten up the room and ready it for use.
4.
Offices: Empty all the garbage, vacuum the
floor, and dust.
5.
Kitchen: empty garbage, put away kitchen items,
sweep and mop floors.
6.
Lobby: Vacuum, arrange chairs in orderly manner.

Perform other
janitorial/maintenance tasks as assigned.
Will appear at
work on time ready to work scheduled hours.

Education
and Experience:
High School
Diploma or equivalent
Certifications:

Physical
Requirements:
Ability to meet
attendance requirements
Ability to read,
write, and communicate the English language
Ability to exert
the physical energy required to perform housekeeping work.
Ability to
perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, climbing, lifting and carrying
light objects (less than 25 lbs.)
Working
Conditions:
Work is
performed in a normal church / office environment with some exposure to outdoor
temperatures, dirt and dust, and/or disagreeable sights and odors.
