The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith based organization, has a job opening for a Family Success Center Job Coach for the Center of Hope, located in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Job Summary
The Family Success Center Job Coach / Case Manager will identify barriers and assist families in setting goals to achieve self-sufficiency with the hopes of breaking intergenerational poverty.

Absolute ability to maintain participant and agency confidentiality, Considerable ability to communicate clearly, both written and oral, Considerable ability to problem-solve, exercise discretion and judgement, and make independent decisions, Considerable ability to effectively collaborate, provide strong leadership, and utilize creative and independent thinking, Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful strategic plans, Detailed understanding of financial strategies and finance-related performance metrics, Working knowledge of the barriers and challenges for families living at or below the poverty line, Ability to build rapport and maintain professionalism, Ability to engage in work both independently and within a team, Ability to navigate Microsoft, or any other web-based data management service of The Salvation Army.
Education and Experience
Education: Bachelors Degree from an accredited college required. Degree in social work or clinical practice preferred.
Experience: 2+ years’ experience specific to members experiencing poverty.
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.
Licenses and Certifications
Must possess current State of North Carolina driver’s license.
Background Check approval is required
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.).
Work is usually performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like, but may be performed in shelter environment.
