Position Type: Regular Part-Time (29) Non-Exempt

Pay Range: $19.68 

About this opportunity:

Performs advanced and complex clerical accounting/financial functions under limited supervision including record keeping and reporting for a multitude of accounts; sets-up account payable accounts and processes all check requests in compliance with tight deadlines, budget constraints and established guidelines; serves as liaison to the divisions or outside contacts  on a daily basis in order to provide timely information regarding the status of accounts and check requests; processes mail appeals.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepares bank deposits for all Lee County Command.

• Receives cash from various Salvation Army departments, outside companies, and government agencies; prepares for deposit in appropriate bank account.

• Records deposit transactions in proper department accounting system. 

What we are looking for in you:

• Associate degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business or related field and

• two years related experience in general bookkeeping practices and accounts payable or

• any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• Ability to read, write and communicate the English language.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Works is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.  Duties are usually performed seated.  Sitting may e relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
