About this opportunity:
This position is responsible for accepting and processing residents staying in the shelter and maintaining accurate records containing pertinent information. Prepares, cooks and serve meals in accordance with established guidelines and schedules.
Responsibilities include:
Knowledge of general office procedures and practices.
Knowledge of basic recordkeeping practices and procedures.
Ability to communicate with the public.
Monitor the activities of the shelter residents.
Clean, cooks and prepares meals, and the ability to order food and kitchen supplies.
What we are looking for in you:
High school diploma of G.E.D. and
One year experience performing security or social service work preferred, with one year experience cooking food for large groups.
May require Serve-Safe certification.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements and the ability to respond to emergencies and initiating the proper corrective actions. Ability to lift and carry light objects (less than 25 pounds) and mobility duties which include walking, standing and lifting light objects.
Work is performed in a shelter facility and a normal kitchen environment with no physical discomforts.
