Summer Camp Counselor
Location: Leesburg Corps, Leesburg, Florida
Position Type: Seasonal, Full-Time at 40 hours/week, Part-time at 6 hours/week, 6/3/2025 – 8/1/2025
Pay Range: $13/hr
About this opportunity:
This position is responsible for planning and provides activities and childcare services for children participating in the Summer Day Camp Program.
Key responsibilities:
- Plans, develops, and facilitates recreational activities and play time.
- Prepares and maintains program records.
- Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of Corps.
What we are looking for in you:
- High School Diploma or GED AND
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of Child Behavior and Development OR
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to observe children and ensure their safety.
- Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects.
- Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.
