Program Coordinator Social Services Department

Location: Ft. Pierce, FL, St. Lucie County

Position Type: Regular Full-Time @ 40 Hrs/Wk

About this opportunity:

This position is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating the day-to-day operation of the Social Services Program.  Supervises all Program staff and ensures work follows established policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations.  Prepares and monitors expenditures in compliance with department budget.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervises and monitors the day-to-day activities of the program; ensures that operations run smoothly and in compliance with established procedures.

 

  • Supervises staff responsible for providing services; instructs and trains employees in the proper methods and procedures for conducting work; monitors work in process and upon completion for compliance with established program policies and procedures; conducts performance evaluations and makes salary and hiring/firing recommendations.

 

  • Maintains awareness of local, state and federal regulations governing program operations and ensures compliance to the same including health, safety, and licensing regulations.

 

  • Maintains grant reports and contract compliance.

 

  • Reviews case assessments for each client including a personalized action plan; reviews case files to ensure proper documentation of all case activities. Audits case management files to ensure compliance standards

 

  • Assumes direct practice caseload.  Client centered responsibilities include assessment, the creation of a service plan, referrals, and linking the client to other needed resources; meets with clients on a regularly scheduled basis for service planning, progress monitoring, and timely interventions.

 

What we are looking for in you:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college

- or

University in Social Work, Human Services,

or a related social services field,

And

Two years progressively responsible experience performing social services work with at least one year in a supervisory capacity,

Or

Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Works is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
