Seasonal Christmas Driver (South Sarasota County)

Location: Venice Corps – Venice, FL

Position Type: Part Time - 21 hrs/wk – Monday-Saturday, 5:30pm to 9pm

Pay Range: $16-$18.

About this opportunity:

Drives Salvation Army vehicle for Red Kettle program.

 Key responsibilities:

• Picks up and Drops Off red kettles with donations as assigned locations.
• Ensures safety and security of the vehicle and donations at all times
• Assists in performing work at the Christmas warehouse and center as requested.

What we are looking for in you:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. AND
• Two years’ driving experience OR
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Valid Driver’s License

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to perform continuous stooping, standing and climbing as well as lift and carry and/or push/pull moderate (25 – 50 lbs)  and possibly heavy (50-100 lbs) materials and donations.

Work requires driving a vehicle where there may be discomforts associated with heavy traffic or changes in weather.

Work may be performed in a warehouse building with some exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, dust and/or disagreeable sights and orders.
