Building Maintenance Worker

Location: Salisbury Corps – Salisbury, Maryland

Position Type: Regular – Full-time (35 hours/week)

Pay Rate: $15.00/hour

About this opportunity:

Key Responsibilities

• The qualified candidate will be able to perform routine repairs and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and vehicles.
• Perform routine grounds keeping work to ensure the beautification of the landscape.
• Perform minor plumbing and carpentry repair work.

What we are looking for in you:

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or G.E.D., required.

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid State Driver’s License, required.

Physical, Mental Requirements and Working Conditions

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.

• Ability to perform heavy lifting.

• Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects.

• Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.
• Work requires driving a vehicle and working outdoors daily with exposure to physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
