The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, is seeking 3 Custodians for our Center of Hope Shelter, located in Downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma.

 

Job Summary:

 

Cleans and maintains the buildings and grounds to ensure the neatness and cleanliness of the same on a daily basis.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

Ability to perform general maintenance and cleaning activities for buildings and grounds.

Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Ability to meet attendance requirements.

Ability to read and communicate the English language.

 

Education and Experience:

 

HS diploma or GED, AND one-year experience performing job related responsibilities preferred, OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

Certifications:

 

None

 

Physical Requirements:   

 

Ability to meet attendance requirements.

Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and climbing.

Ability to exert the physical energy required to perform housekeeping and minor maintenance work.

 

Working Conditions:

 

Work is performed in a normal office environment with some exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, and dust, and/or disagreeable sights and odors.
