The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for an Angel Tree Worker for the Huntsville, AL command located in Huntsville, AL.

This is a seasonal position.

Job Summary: Provides support for the seasonal Angel Tree program; lifts, carries, loads and unloads a variety of donations; serves as an attendant at Angel Tree sites; interacts with donors and responds to questions regarding the donation process; assists with the cleanup, lay out, and set up of the warehouse; assists with pick up from the malls or corporations. Performs data entry of recipient's information.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with co-workers. Knowledge of The Salvation Army Christmas Angel Tree Program. Ability to follow instructions with limited supervision. Ability to relate to the general public in a polite, friendly manner. Ability to abide by required dress code.

Education and Experience: High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred, but not required.

Licenses and Certifications: Valid Driver's License

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time. Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing. Ability to stand in one location for extended periods. Work requires working in a warehouse environment with exposure to fluctuating temperatures and discomforts associated with noise, dirt, and the like.
