Position: Seasonal Kettle Coordinator

About this opportunity:

Recruits, trains, coordinates, and monitors the work of employee and volunteer bell ringers ensuring ample staff to meet location needs; prepares records and reports regarding the same.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Volunteer recruitment methods and practices.

 

  • Prepare accurate and complete records and reports.

 

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers and staff.

 

  • Lead, motivate, and evaluate the work of volunteers and staff.

 

  • Maintain volunteer and financial database.

 

  • Plans, schedules, and assigns work of staff and volunteers

 

  • Instructs in proper methods and procedures

 

  • Checks and approves work in progress and upon completion to ensure accuracy and completeness as well as compliance with Salvation Army policies and procedures.

 

  • Drives Salvation Army vehicle(s) to deliver and collect kettles and supplies to kettle locations and workers.

 

What we are looking for in you:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to meet attendance requirements.

Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.

Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects.

Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.

Work requires driving a vehicle daily with exposure to the outdoors where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
