The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, is looking for Bell Ringer Drivers for our Area Command location, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Job Summary:

Drives a Salvation Army vehicle for delivering and picking up Christmas kettles, supplies and bellringers to designated kettle locations. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to drive up to a 24-foot box van. 

Excellent knowledge of Tulsa and surrounding area streets. 

General vehicle maintenance such as pre-trip inspections. 

Ability to read and follow written instructions. 

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or G.E.D. And Two years’ experience operating an automotive vehicle, Or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. 

Certifications:

Valid DL with a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record). 

Physical Requirements: 

Ability to meet attendance requirements. 

Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. 

Ability to travel to various locations throughout the metro. 

Ability to safely drive a vehicle in heavy traffic. 

Ability to greet guests, such as volunteers or clients. 

Ability to concentrate in a disruptive environment. 

Ability to alternate between manual labor duties and contact with public. 

Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed driving various vehicles in the field while making deliveries and pick-ups. 

Work is also performed in a warehouse and office environment where there is little or no physical discomfort.
