Position Title: Kettle Driver

Location: Central Arkansas Area Command 

Position Type: Seasonal    

About this opportunity:

This position is responsible for

Key responsibilities:

  • Drives a Salvation Army vehicle for delivering and picking up Christmas kettles, supplies and bellringers to designated kettle locations.

What we are looking for in you:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. And Two years’ experience operating an automotive vehicle,
  • Or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to meet attendance requirements.

Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.

Ability to travel to various locations throughout the metro.

Ability to safely drive a vehicle in heavy traffic.

Ability to greet guests, such as volunteers or clients.

Ability to concentrate in a disruptive environment.

Ability to alternate between manual labor duties and contact with public.

Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy object

 

Work is performed driving various vehicles in the field while making deliveries and pick-ups. Work is also performed in a warehouse and office environment where there is little or no physical discomfort.
