About this opportunity:

Recruits, trains, coordinates, and monitors the work of employee and volunteer bell ringers ensuring ample staff to meet location needs; prepares records and reports regarding the same.

Key responsibilities:

  • Interviews and screens bell ringing staff and volunteers
  • Plans and schedules staff and volunteers
  • Drives Salvation Army vehicles to deliver and collect kettles
  • Assists with counting, recording and depositing kettle funds

What we are looking for in you:

  • GED or High School diploma
  • One year of experience working with kettle fund raising programs preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

 

Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to perform all duties with an understanding of the mission, ministry, philosophy, culture, and protocol of The Salvation Army and conducts all duties in accordance with the ministry of the organization and its Christian principles; conducts all communications and job duties with the highest level of professionalism. Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking. Duties include extensive driving to and from kettle locations 50-75% of work time. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying equipment (less than 40 lbs.) 5-10% of work time. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in and out of the office and in a wide variety of weather conditions. Dressing appropriately is important for remaining safe and comfortable
