KETTLE DRIVER

$11.25/hour
ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:
Drive a Salvation Army vehicle (12 passenger van) to transport bellringers and place kettles into specific locations. Drop off and pick up Angel Tree items. Perform other related work as needed in The Salvation Army Kettle and Angel Tree program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Kettle Coordinator in dropping off and picking up bellringers and kettles to kettle locations in the area.
- Assist Angel Tree Coordinator in dropping off dropping off and picking up donations for the Angel Tree program.
- Ensure the safety of passengers and protection of vehicles and other Salvation Army property.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Education & Experience:
· High School Diploma or G.E.D. and
· Two years of experience operating an automotive vehicle or
· Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Licenses & Certifications:
· Current valid Driver’s License.
· Driver’s must be at least 21 years of age or older.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to drive a vehicle in heavy traffic and extended trips.
Working Conditions:
Work involves driving a vehicle where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, snow, heat or discomforts associated with heavy traffic.
