Kettle Driver

About this opportunity:
Assist with the annual Salvation Army Red Kettle Bell Ringing Campaign. Transport ringers and kettles to their designated location.
Key responsibilities:
- Meet with paid Kettle Bell ringers at The Salvation Army each morning to transport bell ringers and kettles to their designated location.
- Keep inventory of kettles and switch out kettles as needed during the day.
- Pick up kettles in the evenings.
- Keep track of all paid bell ringer shifts and hours by indicating start and stop times on kettle slips.
- Transport ringers and kettles to their designated location.
- Perform spot checks on bell ringer locations at times other than beginning and end of shifts.
- Conducts job duties in accordance with the ministry of The Salvation Army and its Christian principles.
- Attend employee meetings as required.
- Perform other duties as required.
What we are looking for in you:
- High School Diploma or GED, and
- One to two years of experience in a related field, preferred.
- Valid Sate Driver’s License
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking. Duties include extensive driving to and from kettle locations 50-75% of work time. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying equipment (less than 40 lbs.) 5-10% of work time. Work is performed in and out of the office and in a wide variety of weather conditions. Dressing appropriately is important for remaining safe and comfortable.
