Kettle Driver
Location: The Salvation Army Macon
About this opportunity:
Drives truck and/or van to assigned locations to pick up kettles and bring them back to the Christmas warehouse. Counts, prepares, records and reports regarding kettle funds.
Key responsibilities:
- Knowledge of assigned geographic area
- Ability to organize route in a manner that saves time and gasoline consumption
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with co-workers and donors
- Ability to perform general cleaning activities for the building
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to read, write and communicate the English language
What are we looking for in you:
- High School or G.E.D
- A minimum of two (2) years driving experience working in an office environment
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Valid State Driver’s License
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements; ability to operate commercial equipment; ability to exert the physical energy required in performing duties given; ability to perform continuous stooping, standing and climbing as well as lift and carry and/or push/pull moderate (25-50 lbs.) and possibly heavy (50-100 lbs.) materials and donations. Work is performed in a warehouse building with some exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, dust and/or disagreeable sights and odors.
