Bell Ringer
Location: MS Gulf Coast – Pascagoula, MS
About this opportunity:
Participates in the work required to successfully complete the seasonal fund raising program of The Salvation Army commonly referred to as Red Kettle program. Rings a small hand bell and is responsible for maintaining a red kettle location.
Key responsibilities:
- Adhere to the standards outlined in the Bell Ringer orientation package.
- Ring a small hand bell at a kettle location greeting passersby amicably.
- Maintain kettle area according to the standards set in the orientation package and/or location manager directions.
- Attend kettle workers meetings as scheduled.
- Assist kettle coordinator with setting up and taking down kettle stands.
What we are looking for in you:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills or abilities.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to work assigned schedule which may vary due to the requirements of the job.
Able to stand on location for extended period of time.
Work requires being outdoors all day with exposure to the outdoors where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with noise, dust , dirt, etc.
