Development Coordinator (Area Command)
Location: Palm Beach Area Command (Administrative Office) – WPB, FL
Position Type: Development Coordinator - Regular Full Time
Pay Rate: $25.36 p/h
About this opportunity:
Works closely with the Development Director to develop strategic plans and goals to meet/exceed development and fundraising goals.
Acts as the primary entry point for all Development Department inquiries and handling requests, questions and feedback.
Liaison to advisory boards and board members. Prepares meeting agendas, minutes, and meeting materials. Coordinates meeting schedules. May represent the Development Director at meetings, events or outings.
Acts on behalf of the Development Director in handling inquiries of highly sensitive and confidential nature. Responds to inquiries or directs matters to appropriate individuals for action and follow-up as needed.
Receives and responds to questions or problems regarding departmental administrative support operations; research information in order to provide information or resolve problems in a timely manner.
Facilitates the preparation for initial and follow-up meetings with high-level prospects and donors.
What we are looking for in you:
Four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited university,
and
Two years of relevant development experience with demonstrated familiarity with donor prospecting, marketing, fundraising, strategic planning and coordinating special events
or
any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
Ability to plan work priorities, evaluate work performances and provide recommendations for improving productivity and efficiency of work.
Ability to provide effective leadership to subordinates, maintain a variety of internal and external contacts and work cooperatively with superior, peer and subordinate staff.
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for extended periods of time when reading and preparing reports or resolving operational problems.
Ability to make sound decisions and resolve operational problems in the absence of an immediate supervisor.
Ability to effectively and efficiently work on multiple projects at the same time without becoming frustrated or disorganized.
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work in order to accomplish work in compliance with quality standards and deadlines.
Ability to determine the most effective and efficient method to accomplish work objectives and goals and to work under limited supervision.
Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
