Angel Tree Coordinator
OVERVIEW:
The Angel Tree Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the Angel Tree Program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee Christmas Warehouse Toy Distribution
- Schedule volunteers for the Angel Tree Program
- Ensure all volunteers check in/check out each time they provide assistance in the program
- Ensure the warehouse is kept clean and safe at all times
- Prepare Angel tags for adoption
- Keep accurate records for reporting
- Contact sponsor companies and supply Angel Tree tags
- Review and approve all Angel Tree applications
- Collect, organize, and prepare all toys and gifts for distribution
- Assist with coordination of food boxes distributed with toys and gifts to each household
- Drop off and/or pick up red kettles from various locations
- Drive to distribute Angel Tree tags, pick up donations and/or purchases
- Other related duties as required

- Ability to maintain an efficient and organized filing system to ensure that items can be retrieved in a timely manner.
- Ability to answer the telephone in a courteous and tactful manner. Ability to maintain the confidential nature of the work.
- Ability to follow instructions, plan and organize work, and work under limited supervision
- Ability to arrive on time and stay on schedule.
- Ability to help load and unload donations from box truck.
- Ability to accurately enter information into computer database system.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or G.E.D. and two years of experience working in an office environment. Or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
Ability to sort and file documents alphabetically and numerically.
Ability to operate various general office equipment including a telephone, smart phone and computer.
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail with constant breaks in concentration associated with answering phones or speaking in person to clients requiring assistance.
Duties are usually performed seated; however, work at the Christmas Distribution Center will require walking, standing, lifting and carrying.
Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Work may require driving a vehicle where there may be discomforts associated with heavy traffic or changes in weather.
