Kettle Coordinator_NE-ALM_201-Christmas Kettles
The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for a Kettle Coordinator for The Salvation Army of NELA which is located in Monroe, LA.
Job Summary: Recruits, trains, coordinates, and monitors the work of employee and volunteer bell ringers ensuring ample staff to meet location needs; prepares records and reports regarding the same.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of volunteer recruitment methods and practices. Ability to follow instructions and work with limited supervision. Ability to prepare accurate and complete records and reports. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers and staff. Ability to lead, motivate, and evaluate the work of volunteers and staff. Ability to maintain volunteer and financial database.
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or G.E.D. and one year of experience working with kettle fundraising programs preferred or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid State Driver’s License
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking. Duties include extensive driving to and from kettle locations 50-75% of work time. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting, and carrying equipment (less than 40 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.
