The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith based organization, has a job opening for a Custodian for the Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi Divisional Headquarters located in Jackson, MS.
Job Summary:Cleans and maintains the buildings and grounds to ensure the neatness and cleanliness of the same on a daily basis.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of general maintenance and cleaning activities for buildings and grounds.Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Education and Experience:No formal education or experience required, six months experience performing general housekeeping duties or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications:Valid State Driver’s License
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Ability to meet attendance requirements.Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.Ability to exert the physical energy required to performing housekeeping. Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, climbing and lifting up to 25 lbs.
Equipment:Various cleaning supplies, equipment and tools.
