Director of Homeless Case Management FT - Shelter Dwntwn. Tulsa Center of Hope
The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, is looking for a Director of Homeless Case Management for our Center of Hope Shelter located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Job Summary:
Oversees the delivery of services to the homeless population including the Supportive Housing, Project Able and Shelter programs; develops and implements programs to assist the homeless population; supervises all Case Managers and supports them in development of case plans.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of The Salvation Army mission and philosophy.
Ability to supervise case management activities
Ability to work cooperatively with directors and staff of other agencies
Knowledge of United States Department of Housing and Urban Development and City of Tulsa guidelines.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail with constant breaks in concentration.
Ability to exert mental/visual effort required due to sustained periods of concentration.
Ability to deal with guests who may be frustrated or distraught.
Education and Experience:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or a related field AND four years experience working in the case management field, Ministerial experience beneficial OR any equivalent demonstration of training or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certifications:
Valid state driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.)
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a normal office environment where there is little or no physical discomfort associated with changes in weather or discomfort associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
