Custodian
Location: Kerrville Kroc Center, Kerrville, TX

About this opportunity: Provides a variety of cleaning duties and maintains the Kroc & Social Service buildings to ensure the upkeep, neatness, and cleanliness of the same on a daily basis.
Key responsibilities:
- Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; cleans sinks and toilets, polishes mirrors, and replenishes supplies.
- Empty trash cans regularly; collects trash from grounds and cleans trash cans.
- Monitors and repairs/replace light bulbs, florescent tubes, spotlights, exit lights and other lighting malfunctions.
- Cleans windows, dusts and polishes furniture and fixtures.
What we are looking for in you:
- No formal education required,
- Six months experience performing general janitorial and general maintenance duties preferred.
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively. Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing. Ability to exert the physical energy required to perform the needed janitorial, and maintenance work. Duties are performed standing and requires squatting, climbing, bending, and walking. Any of the preceding duties may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of sitting. Extensive amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting, and carrying heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).
Working conditions
Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to dirt, dust, disagreeable sights and/or odors, and various temperatures.
