Location:  Sarasota County, Florida

Position Type: Full Time Salaried – 40 hours – Monday to Friday – 8am to 4pm/flexible start and end time.

Pay Range: $62,000 to $68,000

About this opportunity:

The Grants and Contract Specialist reviews applications, contracts and grants for compliance with local, state and federal guidelines and monitors and prepares grants for submission to the Divisional Finance Board/Board of Trustees.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assists the director of development in preparing grants, new program proposals and applications and provides information regarding potential funding sources
  • Acts as liaison between contracting parties
  • Reviews and processes development department grant agreements and foundation requests

 

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to foundations, local, state, and federal grants and contracts where indicated

What we are looking for in you:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Social Work, or a related field, and
  • three years progressively responsible experience in contract field, or
  • any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
