Job Summary
The Bookkeeper II/HR Assistant will provide administrative support to Human Resources and the Accounting Department to coordinate services related to personnel changes and accounting-related functions under the direction of the business manager.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Practical oral and written communication skills. General knowledge of various employment laws and practices. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Skills in database management and record keeping. Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work. Excellent organizational skills. Must be able to identify and resolve problems promptly. Gather and analyze information skillfully. Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative in dealing with daily assumptions
Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in human resources or business and one to two years of experience required; two years of human resources recruiting experience
or
any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull light (less than 25 lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment. Light mobility: duties are usually performed by standing, walking, and primarily sitting.
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language. Work is performed in a typical office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
