Accounting Clerk
Location: San Angelo Corps
Position Type: Full time
About this opportunity: Reviews, verifies, and reconciles accounts to verify accuracy of records; proofs, posts, and files on behalf of the field; performs accounting and data entry functions under the supervision of assigned Accounting Supervisor.
Key responsibilities:
- Reviews cash requirements and selects items for payment based on that review; notifies Accounting Supervisor of financial concerns.
- Reviews, verifies, and codes invoices/vouchers for payment and identify terms of payment and data entry/posting of such payments.
- Reviews, codes, and manages data entry for receivable entries.
- Knowledge of basic accounting and general office practices and procedures.
What we are looking for in you:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Two to three years clerical accounting or general office data entry experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Valid State Driver’s License.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write and communicate the English language effectively. Ability to perform mathematical calculations. Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting, and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) frequently.
Working Conditions:
Work is usually performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
