High School Admissions Representative - Austin, Texas
GENERAL SUMMARY The High School Admissions Representative is responsible for conducting presentations within the assigned high school territory to promote campus academic programs and facilitate student enrollment. This role involves creating interest in the school’s programs, generating student leads, and supporting the admissions department in achieving campus enrollment goals. The High School Admissions Representative also plays a key role in fostering relationships with students, teachers, counselors, and school administrators to encourage prospective student enrollment. The High School Admissions Representative works on an admissions team to recruit qualified applicants for admission to the school.
The High School Admissions Representative must comply with state and federal accreditation, along with company policies and regulations, while remaining consistent with the highest ethical standards. Admissions representatives are also responsible for managing time and inquiry resources to generate interest in our program. This position will get in touch with inquiries through phone calls to schedule appointments, conduct interviews, and conduct follow-up activity with unresolved interviewees and future class applicants.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
High School Presenting
• Visits high schools within assigned territory and delivers structured, factual presentations about academic programs to students, teachers, counselors, and other school personnel using approved campus marketing materials.
• Promotes and facilitates student enrollment by obtaining and managing lead information from students attending presentations.
• Schedules and attends college fairs and high school events, including open houses, to engage with prospective students and their families.
• Assists in organizing and supporting high school events hosted by the school, such as open houses and prospective student tours.
• Acquires and maintains up-to-date knowledge of all campus programs, admissions procedures, tuition, financial aid options, and other related information to accurately guide prospective students through the enrollment process.
• Achieves and exceeds lead generation and enrollment targets as set by the Admissions Department, with a focus on enrolling qualified students.
• Maintains a balanced mix between high school presentations, referral leads, and leads generated through college fairs.
• Partners with high school organizations (e.g., FCCLA, ProStart, TFWA) to promote cooking competitions, and other events, fostering engagement and interest in culinary education.
• Builds and maintains a comprehensive database of high school teachers, counselors, and key contacts to support ongoing enrollment initiatives.
• Collaborates with other campus departments to host group functions aimed at prospective high school students.
• Develops and sustains a professional and ongoing rapport with high school staff and students to provide them with information about the campus and enrollment opportunities.
• Represents the campus professionally, honestly, and ethically at various school events, including open houses, orientations, and weekend fairs.
• Ensures flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for enrollment events and presentations.
• Travels up to 60% of the time, providing own transportation for visiting high schools and attending events. Student Enrollment
• Accurately and completely explain educational programs, expected outcomes, student services, and financial consideration to students and their support system if it pertains.
• Manage inquiries to achieve prompt contact and performance activity weekly targets; utilize approved recruitment policies/formats; make prompt and effective contact with inquiries and redirect unqualified candidates based upon incompatible career goals.
• Secure new inquiries (Personally Developed Leads) by directly asking phone contacts about referrals of others to contact that may be interested in the program offered.
• Schedule and conduct interviews, pursue qualified candidates for enrollment, and determine appropriateness of candidates for admission based upon career goal compatibility.
• Accurately forecast projected new students on a periodic basis to the Director of Admissions and Senior level management.
• Consistently conduct follow-up meetings with all applicants (daily, weekly, or on an as needed basis) to ensure successful matriculation.
• Effectively communicate with the enrolled students to guide them through the online orientation and help them understand the importance of this activity as well as tracking their progress.
• Be an active participant in team activities and initiatives.
• Be timely and responsive to all job function duties as assigned
• Other duties as required or assigned to support enrollment goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of school admissions or high school coordinator experience, or;
• 2 years of sales, customer service, or support experience with proven skills in customer engagement and enrollment practices.

• Professional demeanor with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with high school staff, students, and families.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work requires the ability to operate standard business equipment. Extended periods of sitting, phone work, and computer usage may be required daily.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed primarily in high school environments, with up to two (2) hours of commute time to and from presentations or events. Regular travel to schools and community events is required.
