POSITION SUMMARY:

  • The Senior Service Technician reports to the Service Manager.
  • Located in Lewisville, TX
  • Full-Time
  • Remote

 

The Senior Service Technician plays a crucial role in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining both Company-owned and customer foodservice equipment. With a focus on safety and adherence to maintenance systems and processes, the Lead Service Technician is the go-to expert in refrigeration, providing guidance and support to technicians at all levels. They are instrumental in ensuring the achievement of the Company's business goals by minimizing downtime and maximizing equipment efficiency.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Mentorship and Training:

  • Mentor, coach, and train technicians at all levels, sharing expertise and best practices.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and possess the ability to troubleshoot systems or equipment issues efficiently.
  • Proactively replace worn components to prevent mechanical breakdowns, minimizing downtime.

Call-Back Management:

  • Maintain a call-back percentage of less than 2% by ensuring the quality and accuracy of repairs.

Safety Compliance:

  • Regularly survey safety devices and equipment, adhering to safety regulations and standards.

Recommendations and Reporting:

  • Make recommendations to management for improved procedures and updates on the status of work orders.

Workspace Management:

  • Keep equipment, tools, and work areas clean and safe, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Conduct periodic inventory of parts, materials, and components with a variance of 2% or less.

Technical Documentation:

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

• Compliance:

  • Comply with safety regulations and standards at all times.

 

COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to motivate team members and provide guidance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of making sound decisions based on policies and common sense with minimal guidance.
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently to achieve objectives.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Skilled in multitasking, organizing, and prioritizing work to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules as needed.
  • Willingness to travel constantly (80% of the time) and beyond when necessary to support service operations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or GED, or equivalent military or practical experience.
  • 3 – 4 years of experience in refrigeration service.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of basic, intermediate, and expert service and repair procedures.
  • Proficiency in operating hand and power tools.
  • Advanced computer skills to support documentation and reporting processes.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

 

 

The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate’s unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.
 

In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark’s’ benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc.  Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
