This position is working on C shift- Sunday through Thursday 11pm-7am.

About the Role

The Tooling Maintenance Tech II is responsible for cleaning, assembly/disassembly and inspecting tooling. Issue tooling for Production and Engineering trials, return clean inspected tooling back into inventory. Cleaning and maintaining the Tool Crib and its equipment. Tag tooling that requires repair or replacement. The Level II requires 1 or more years as a Level 1 or 5 years of previous experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Cleans, disassembles/assembles, inspects tooling. 
Picks Orders for upcoming Production Jobs
Returns clean and inspected tooling to correct locations. 
Check and inspect heaterbands and thermocouples

Communicates tooling issues and timing of availability to Production and NPPD
Clean and maintain Tool Crib Equipment
Consults with Tooling Maintenance Tech III or Process Engineer when tooling needs repair or replacement. 
Conducts minor Tooling/Component repairs as needed Surface Grinder and Lathes
Read and interpret drawings for assembly and repair

Additional project as assigned by supervisor.

What You Need:

High School diploma required.
1 or more years as a Level 1 and/or 5 or more years of experience with Plastic Extrusion Tool Crib or Tool Room required.

Training and experience in Machining or Fabrication preferred. 
Ability read and interpret prints/drawings. 
Strong mechanical skills with attention to detail. 
Experience in machining or shop environment. 
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. 
Ability to use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel. 
Travel Requirements – Valid Driver’s License to travel between buildings when required.
