In this position you will be working at the 426 Hitchcock Street location.  The hours are 7am-7pm on a rotating schedule. (Includes working every other weekend). 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Operate and troubleshoot assigned work centers. 
  • Assure all quality checks and documentation are being performed and accuracy checked. 
  • Provide input into the daily Com Log. 
  • Cover breaks in other positions and assist in training, as needed. 
  • Make sure all work order paperwork is online and correct. 
  • Make sure IQMS and other necessary documents required by the lab and our customers are completed and accurate. 
  • Setup/Tear down and operate compounding equipment
  • Setup/Tear down and operate Color Lab weigh stations
  • Setup/Tear down and operate drying equipment
  • Setup and operation of Tumbler equipment
  • Start up or assist in starting up and sizing in of assigned lines. 
  • Ensure all paperwork is complete and accurate. 
  • Inspect products and materials at various points during the manufacturing process for quality. 
  • Perform scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance items. 
  • Perform PM and TPM schedules on all production equipment. 
  • Perform light repairs inside of the ability and support of the maintenance department. 
  • Determine if products are within our customers’ specifications. 
  • Make initial judgment on whether there may be a material issue that could affect product quality and get input from others for confirmation if needed. 
  • Adjust compounding parameters within set specifications to ensure correct operations; consult engineering or maintenance if larger adjustments are identified. 
  • Needs strong attention to detail and mechanical skills to ensure that the product made is to the proper specifications and packaged according to the customers’ requirements.  

 

What You Need: 

  • General education level found with high school diploma or equivalent preferred.   
  • Must have strong math skills and mechanical skills.  
  • Must have precise attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to work productively with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to learn a wide variety of equipment and identify problem situations and have troubleshooting abilities to solve problems and make repairs, as necessary. 
  • Proficient in Operator Packer job functions.   
  • Know how to use gauges and use statistical process controls.  
  • Have some basic computer skills. 

 

Physical Work Requirements:

 

Describe any unusual physical aspects of work required in this position such as constant standing or walking, uncommon hearing or sight demands or awkward posture. 

May be required to spend long hours in production problem solving. This person needs to be available to work on all three shifts for coaching, training, and running experiment (as needed).
