Maintenance - Maintenance B Instrument Borger
The Maintenance Instrument position serves as a contributory member of the Maintenance Department under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor/Superintendent. This role will help to ensure that plant equipment and machinery are functioning optimally and assisting in the resolution process if issues are identified.
Requirments:
- Maintain and repair production or processing machines and equipment rapidly to reduce production lag
- Assist with the planning and execution of all department assigned tasks and work orders
- Monitor and maintain various plan equipment to support optimal occupational health and safety, quality assurance and equipment efficiency
- Proactively respond to issues and deficiencies with recommended solutions and clearly communicate resolution process to his/her supervisor and other levels of management
- Timely communicate critical information regarding jobs, assignments, tasks, work orders, inspection forms, job completion check-off sheets, etc. to supervisor
- Routinely uses a variety of hand or power tools to address machinery, equipment or production component issues/deficiencies
- May use a variety of specific disciplines (i.e. Mechanical, Welding, Instrumentations, Electrical, Computers, Vibration or Refractory) to perform maintenance objectives on a variety of equipment
- Support, encourage and regularly practice approved safety procedures and protocols
- Regularly review, support and execute ISO responsibilities defined by the department
- Regular attendance is required
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read, interpret and understand safety manuals, policies and procedures
- 0-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- 0-2 years’ of general machinery welding experience
- Strong mechanical and operational aptitude in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience navigating through DCS, or similar program
- 2+ years experience with navigating ASPEN, or similar program
- 2+ years experience with input of flow, temp level and pressure transmitters
- 2+ years experience disassembling and repairing control valves, I/P’s and regulators
- 2 + years experience with calibrating devices
2 + years experience with 4-20 mA output
- 2 +years experience with common hand tools and power tools
- Ability to identify positioners, types of valves and transmitters
- Ability to download/upload DPC items
- Knowledge of interlock systems and process flow
- Strong background in electrical and electronic troubleshooting
- Experience with pneumatic controls, actuators, and metering devices
- Experience preforming calibrations on instrumentation equipment
