COGS - Equipment Installer

We are a wireless construction company based in Marlborough, MA, seeking self-motivated, reliable, and professional candidates at all levels of experience, in MA, CT, RI and NH, to join our fast-growing company.
The Equipment Installer will perform a wide variety of field activities ranging from intermediate to advanced system work including installing, maintaining and servicing telecommunication equipment for a variety of carriers.
The ideal candidate will possess a clear understanding of CO Installation and Quality Standards. Previous construction experience and wireless site construction is a plus. We will train the right candidates regardless of construction experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead various types of equipment installation projects;
- Read and interpret detailed specifications and drawings, blueprints, schematics, and method of procedures (MOPs);
- Install Frame and rack builds;
- Run multiple cable types including coaxial, power, fiber, and network transmission; Use a variety of specific connectors and terminating procedures Lacing, stitching, sewing cables;
- Terminate DC power, rectifiers, PDUs, Battery racks, inverters, converters, raycaps and associated infrastructure used in telecommunications networks;
- Terminate cables using RJ45 connectors or compression connectors/lugs;
- Clean and scope fiber connectors, Document light levels and other readings with job specific testing equipment (ex: OTDR);
- Install ironwork (ladder rack) cable paths, horizontal and vertical pathways for fiber optic cable management systems, and create a physical cable path for equipment and cable design;
- Tests and evaluates systems to determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing system;
- Complete detailed documents of work performed and provide daily status updates;
- Ability to serve as the installation in-charge person.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation;
- Demonstrated knowledge of the phases of product installation;
- Experience with major carriers like AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, etc.;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Proficient using various computer equipment such as laptops, tablets, etc. as well as knowledgeable with various software platforms;
- Ability to adapt to changing environments;
Other Requirements:
- Must hold valid driver’s license, have clean driving record, and be able to travel in and throughout New England;
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen;
- Must be able to obtain MA DOT Medical Card;
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs;
- Must be able to climb ladders, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl;
- OSHA10 or 30 Certification; cost will be reimbursed.
- Must complete online certifications in RF Safety Awareness Training, HazCom, Bloodborne Pathogens Safety; cost paid by company.

Job Type and Hours: Full-time, 7am-3:30pm
Start date: Immediate
Pay range: $24-35/hour; Compensation based on relevant experience
Sign-on Bonus: $1,500
