Our Digital Technology Team is seeking a Digital Experience Product Owner to join our growing team in our Worcester, MA Corporate Headquarters or remote work arrangement.  

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

We are hiring a Digital Product Owner, focused on the Customer and Agent Digital Experience to be part of our Digital Transformation team. Our digital team is focused on driving the digital transformation for the enterprise at The Hanover.

 

We are looking for a strategic thinker that can create a holistic vision for digital experiences across the customer and agent life cycle as well as someone who can drive on the delivery road map of initiatives.


This is a Full-time, Exempt role. 

 

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL: 

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap:  Define and execute a strategic roadmap for the digital customer and agent portals as well as surrounding digital experiences, balancing company goals with customer/agent needs. 
  • User Research & Customer Insights:  Conduct user research to understand end-user requirements, pain points, and usage patterns; leverage insights to shape product roadmap
  • Feature Prioritization:  Prioritize the backlog through close partnership with key stakeholders, making trade-off decisions to maximize value and align with key business objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:  Work closely with User Experience team, Architecture teams, and key stakeholders to ensure smooth product delivery from concept to delivery.
  • Agile Product Management:  Serve as the Product Owner in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, ensuring clear communication of requirements.
  • Data Analytics & KPI ManagementTrack and report on key performance indicators for the portal, using data analytics to make informed decisions on feature improvements.
  • Customer Support & Issue Resolution:  Address issues related to the product, collaborating with the support team to improve user satisfaction.
  • Compliance & SecurityEnsure our portals meet regulatory, security, and privacy requirements, collaborating with legal and security teams as needed. 

WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY: 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally with customer or agent portal product management
  • Strong analytical skills (ex: Power BI) to make data-driven decisions
  • Strong understanding and experience with agile delivery methodologies and building product vision/roadmaps
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Familiar with web and mobile technologies, API integrations, and UX best practices
  • P&C knowledge strongly preferred
