Automation Engineer (REMOTE)

Our growing Personal Lines Automation team is currently seeking an Automation Developer to join our growing team, in a remote work arrangement.
This is a full-time role.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Automation Developer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and reporting of the performance of automations. They will partner with various teams across the organization to develop automations. They will communicate with customers, IT and key stakeholders on the status of automations (issues and required maintenance) as well as the productivity of the digital workforce. Provide support in the event of automation failures.
Candidates who develop in role may have future opportunities to develop/co-develop in the AI and NLP spaces.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
- Have the ability to read, build and understand process and data flow diagrams.
- Have a solid understanding of the design and development of existing automations to provide effective and consultative support to end users.
- Independently develop automations of small to medium scale and scope.
- Partner with IT on co-development projects.
- Engage with automation stakeholders to gain an understanding of business process and requirements that will contribute to developing precise requirements for automation teams Identify key automation business needs, issues and validate service scope necessary for translation into design, development, and support.
- Develop supporting documentation including infrastructure and application support models, delivery resource needs, change management processes and operational readiness and delivery checklists.
- Assist in the implementation of standards and best practices throughout the BU COEs across Hanover
- Lead the continuous process improvement initiatives in the enterprise automation practice.
- Maintains automation playbook and refines based on learnings and feedback.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:
- Bachelor’s in business or computer science-related degree and a genuine interest in technology
- Minimum of 0 - 3 years of related experience required.
- Comfortable turning raw data into meaningful information.
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL, Python and Azure a plus; able to work with, integrate and evaluate large and complex data sets.
- Good communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience.
- The ability to effectively communicate to stakeholders of all levels of the organization.
- A self-starter who delivers high quality work and can adapt to new challenges, either on their own or as part of an international team
- Business acumen and a solid understanding of direct business line preferred
- Strong learning agility; ability to pick up multiple automation tools/processes.
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future (i.e.: US Citizen, Green card holder)

- Experience in a multitude of automation packages or tools
- Awareness of Artificial Intelligence technologies and software automation
