Our Commercial Lines Product Management team is currently seeking a Commercial Lines Product Manager. The work arrangement for this position is based on location. This is a full time, exempt role.   This is a Hybrid position.

  

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Our Commercial Lines Product Management Organization is seeking a Commercial Lines Product Manager to provide leadership, support, guidance, and true subject matter expertise to facilitate the development, installation, and implementation of our Technology and Life Sciences product capabilities. The Product Manager will support the overall profitability, growth, and retention of our Technology and Life Sciences Business by delivering industry-leading, market competitive coverage offerings.

 

This role supports key strategic functions pertaining to Technology and Life Sciences Business, including strategic product development and support, market research and analysis, and product maintenance, delivery, and compliance. The Commercial Lines Product Manager will work collaboratively with others on matters related to forms development, underwriting and compliance, including, but not limited to: Underwriting Business Units, Claims, Legal, Corporate Underwriting, Actuarial, IT, Operations and Compliance.

 

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:   

  • Lead the development, design and maintenance of coverage forms and associated rules across our Technology and Life Sciences products.
  • Monitor and analyze regulatory and judicial environment to remain compliant in writing states.
  • Conduct and monitor market research and competitive analysis efforts for the assigned product and Lines of Business.
  • Work collaboratively with Business Units and Corporate Underwriting to establish and support business strategies.
  • Develop filing strategies and manage State Department of Insurance objections and inquiries, as necessary.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:  

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3-5 years of Commercial Lines General Liability and Technology Errors & Omissions product development, underwriting, and/or claims experience, or any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background. 
  • Possesses expertise with business insurance contracts, forms, coverage, and regulatory environment.
  • Advanced influential leadership skills, innovation skills, initiating skills, organization, and time management skills.
  • Advanced oral and technical written communication skills.
  • Advanced ability to comprehend, communicate, and capture intent of coverage strategies.
  • Ability to influence strategic decision-making process in support of corporate goals.
  • Superior people skills that align with Hanover’s CARE values.
