Mental Health Therapist/Mental Health Counselor
Job Summary
The Mental Health Therapist participates in the clinical team by providing in office and telehealth counseling to our adult clients. The successful candidate maintains a therapeutic relationship with clients on his/her team in meeting the biopsychosocial needs of the client and collaborate with the treatment team to provide holistic whole person care to the client.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field preferred.
- Licensure: Requires a social work or counselor license recognized by the state of Ohio – i.e. LSW, LPC, MFT, LISW, LPCC or IMFT.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Intake screening and orientation for new clients and guardians when applicable
- Providing mental health counseling using evidence based and trauma informed approaches of care to our adult clients.
- Provide crisis intervention as necessary to enhance and restore functioning.
- Participate in coordination of care with a multi-disciplinary treatment team
- Provided group counseling as needed
- Meet or exceed agency required productivity and documentation standards
- Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands/Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment and the community. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. It requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
