IT Training Subject Matter Expert
The position of a Subject Matter Expert (SME) works regularly with internal contacts to administer orientation as well as other IT related trainings to new hires and staff as a whole. This team member will oversee the preparation of equipment and system access for new hires. Must maintain a high level of knowledge of all tasks within the department and be effective in delivering consistent results.

- Monday - Friday, 830am - 430pm
- Location will be Stoughton Corporate office
- Experience with new hire orientation
- Experience Imaging new hire laptops
Essential Functions
- Staff Training
- Train new staff and provide continuing education for existing staff
- Cross-train and build redundant capabilities within team
- Track trends from staff for training opportunities
- Assist with and take lead in creating training materials in conjunction with HR
- Communication
- Regularly communicate with all departments regarding any new procedures that pertain to training.
- Liaise with other departments as necessary to help resolve issues that may be related to training or lack thereof.
- Set up and maintain a variety of personal computing, network hardware and software systems on local area network and wide area network connections.
- Identify training needs, create ILT and self-paced trainings, create job aids and training manuals.
- Works with users to evaluate and solve technical issues during training
- Establishes and maintains a parts inventory for personal computers, as well as other supplies and computer center-related materials.
- Provides remote support for offsite users.
- Produce and maintain training documentation
- Works with various departments to continually improve efficiency and work flows using new technologies.
- Other duties assigned by the IT Manager as required.
Competencies:
- Strong understanding of a wide variety of personal computing equipment, computer software applications.
- Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and facilitation skills
- Ability to work independently, self-motivator with the ability to plan and initiate.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable delivering training programs to both internal teams and customers.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Required Education and Experience
- High School, Technical School or equivalent experience.
- One to three years of IT related training experience.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This role will be regularly in the field.
