GreenLeaf is a rapidly growing business unit of The Chefs’ Warehouse, distributing the highest quality, local and sustainable produce and specialty foods to exceptional chefs in Northern and Southern California, Reno/Tahoe, and other regions coming soon.

The Position:
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and tracking marketing campaigns across various channels, including online and offline, that effectively promote the company's brand and drive sales; key duties include executing integrated marketing campaigns, crafting compelling content, managing social media, monitoring campaign performance, and building efficiencies into all marketing activities.
Responsibilities:

Support the marketing department’s strategies with the planning, executing, and tracking of marketing activities such as sell sheet design, social media, email, and events.

Design weekly email campaigns and newsletters, facilitating the promotion of incoming products with updated photography and relaying key information from the buying team.

Organize promotional events and sponsorships, coordinating with event leaders and our staff, professionally representing GreenLeaf to participants and vendors, and ensuring prompt delivery of donated products and merchandise.

Campaign performance tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like Reach & Engagement, Open & Click rates, website traffic, conversion rates, and ROI to measure campaign effectiveness and make data-driven adjustments with the goal of showing continuous improvement.

Maintain posting schedule across social media channels, ensuring that unique and engaging content is properly executed and delivered, and product photos are up to date.

Assist with managing and tracking SEO, SEM, and social media advertising.

Conduct research and stay current on best marketing practices and innovative technologies to create efficiencies. Routinely report market research findings.

Ensure the alignment of all communications and messaging across all channels, following specific brand guidelines.

Maintaining inventory and distribution of promotional materials, including research of functional and exciting swag items, tracking existing inventory, and designing products for our customers and potential leads.

Work cross-departmentally on internal communications to ensure that new and existing employees have the tools they need to succeed in the workplace. This may include presenting an overview of the Marketing Department to new employees, the development of training videos, company-wide addresses, town-hall presentations, office space redesign, facility tour videos, urgent updates, and general office admin duties.

Collaborate with the Sales teams to get customer insights, provide any needed marketing materials, sell sheets, or seasonal guides.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience: BA in Marketing, or a related field, and 2-5 years in a full-time marketing role strongly preferred. Or 5+ years in a corporate marketing role will be considered
Design Knowledge & Digital Marketing Expertise: Strong understanding of B2B digital marketing execution & understanding of graphic design principles.
Organization & Attention to Detail: Strong time management and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication
Technical Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Cloud, WordPress, Microsoft Teams, Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, SurveyMonkey, and MailChimp. Willingness to learn new technologies and self-train as needed.
Industry Experience: Food industry background is a plus but not required—just be ready to dive in!
Multitasking & Adaptability: Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Flexibility & Travel: Ability to attend occasional industry events in the Greater Bay Area outside of regular hours. Willingness to work overtime during peak periods.
