Primary Job Function:

Perform inspections of inbound product received and perform quality assurance of outbound (in compliance with customer specifications).  

 

General Duties:

  • Check quality on in-house product of the warehouse and inspect coolers; 
  • Check rotation, temperature controls and identify spoilage; 

  • Conduct avocado and banana ripening practices as required; 

  • Assist and conduct inventory;

  • Support purchasing and sales staff with accurate information of product condition;

  •  Adhere to all food safety and quality systems

Required:

  • One year of experience in produce quality control

  • Strong service perspective to meeting customer expectations. 

  • Tolerate working up to 90% of the time in cooler and dock temperatures which may vary from 30-55 degrees. 

  • Must be able to stand the majority of the working day, reaching, pulling and lift occasionally up to 50 pounds;

  • Forklift Operation: Significant experience driving warehouse forklift.

    Responsibilities:

    The Quality Control Associate will inspect produce coming in and recondition product going out while abiding with all food safety practices and procedures.
