Second Shift Janitorial Operations Manager
Lead with impact – Join our team as an Operations Manager and take charge of multiple sites while driving excellence in service and leadership.
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Operations Manager to oversee multiple customer accounts and job sites. This role is responsible for managing employees engaged in cleaning and maintaining office buildings, commercial, and institutional spaces. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for quality, and the ability to ensure high standards in all areas of operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Recruit, hire, and train new employees to ensure quality service delivery.

Supervise and support cleaning teams across multiple job sites.

Address and resolve employee and customer concerns efficiently.

Assign tasks, inspect completed work, and ensure compliance with company standards.

Oversee safety training, including site-specific requirements for new employees.

Manage inventory and procurement of supplies and equipment, ensuring all tools are in good working order.

Track and maintain accurate employee work hours and supervise timekeeping.

Conduct regular site inspections and provide monthly reports to customers on building conditions and work progress.

Step in to perform cleaning duties when necessary to maintain service standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:

2 to 5 years of supervisory or management experience, or a degree from a 4-year college or 2-year technical institution.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow detailed but straightforward instructions.

Basic understanding of service industry operations, sales, and business-to-business service delivery.

Ability to read and interpret numerical data related to work volumes and materials.

Valid driver’s license required.

Preferred: One-year certificate from a college or technical school, or three to six months of relevant experience/training.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Direct supervision of hourly general cleaners, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

May oversee multiple sites without a dedicated site manager.
