(Summer Seasonal) Laundry Attendant

Summary 

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring the proper cleaning, sorting, and distribution of hotel linens, towels, and uniforms. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and adherence to hotel cleanliness and sanitation standards. 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities  

• Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment according to standard procedures. 

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store linens, towels, and uniforms. 

• Inspect linens and uniforms for wear and tear, and report any damages to management. 

• Maintain proper inventory levels of linens and communicate any shortages to supervisors. 

• Ensure laundry room and equipment are clean and well-maintained at all times. 

• Follow proper chemical handling and safety procedures. 

• Assist with guest laundry services as needed. 

• Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations. 

• Perform other duties as assigned by management. 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE    

• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role preferred. 

• Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently. 

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads (up to 50 lbs). 

• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and proper usage. 

• Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

• Exposure to heat, humidity, and laundry chemicals. 

• Fast-paced environment requiring physical stamina. 

• Frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
