Laundry Attendant
SUMMARY
A laundry attendant is in charge of ensuring that clean linens are supplied to the entire lodging department. Among the responsibilities include sorting, washing drying, pressing, and folding clothing and other textile items. They also remove stains from products by adhering to the manufacturer’s processes and use of commercial cleaning products. The Landry attendant may be in charge of cleaning the guests’ personal belongings. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment along with excellent interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Sorting linens, towels, clothing and other laundry items by color, size and material

Wrapping laundry items for pickup or delivery to customers and hospitality guests

Washing items with commercial laundry equipment following proper sanitization protocols

Cleaning and maintaining laundry room area and equipment

Unloading laundry from commercial dryers

Stocking laundry supplies such as detergent, bleach, laundry bags and fabric softener

Creating laundry tags with identifiable customer information

Creating invoices for laundry orders

Removing stains from items using the appropriate procedures

Performing minor sewing duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Proven working experience as a housekeeper.

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.

Integrity and ability to work independently.

Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience.

Fast pace worker and work well with others.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Requires possession of valid Class C driver license with a driving record meeting the minimum standards required by the resort’s insurance carrier.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Please be advised that the location of this position is in the mountains. Inclement weather can and will be encountered on a regular basis, especially throughout the winter. Reliable transportation to and from work is a necessity. Access to a 4WD or AWD vehicle is highly recommended.
