SUMMARY

A Janitor is responsible for maintaining a cleanly facility by completing a variety of cleaning tasks. Their duties include mopping and vacuuming floors, cleaning surfaces with disinfectant and emptying trash cans or recycling bins.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc).
  • Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities.
  • Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
  • Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs.
  • Stock and maintain supply rooms.
  • Cooperate with the rest of the staff.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Proven working experience as a janitor.
  • Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  • Familiarity with Material Safety data Sheets.
  • Integrity and ability to work independently.
  • Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience.
  • Fast pace worker and work well with others

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED. 

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Requires possession of valid Class C driver license with a driving record meeting the minimum standards required by the resort’s insurance carrier.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Please be advised that the location of this position is in the mountains.  Inclement weather can and will be encountered on a regular basis, especially throughout the winter.  Reliable transportation to and from work is a necessity.  Access to a 4WD or AWD vehicle is highly recommended.
