Bell Attendant
SUMMARY
Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the Bell Attendant will perform all duties connected with meeting and greeting and assist in ensuring the delivery and retrieval of luggage to all guests in a courteous, timely, and professional manner. This position will also cross train as a Front Desk Agent and assist behind the desk part time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned, including weekend work.
- Warmly greet arriving guests and provide efficient luggage assistance, ensuring a seamless check-in experience.
- Escort guests to their rooms, provide a brief orientation of room features and assist with any special requests.
- Manage the storage and retrieval of guest luggage and ski equipment with precision, maintaining accurate tracking and labeling for efficient service.
- Anticipate guest needs by offering assistance with directions, recommendations for local attractions, and information on hotel amenities.
- Maintain a polished, professional presence in the lobby, readily available to assist with guest inquiries or support the front desk team.
- Promptly and courteously deliver packages, amenities, and other requested items directly to guest rooms.
- Collaborate with front desk, housekeeping, and reservations teams to ensure smooth communication regarding guest arrivals, special requests, and VIP needs.
- Assist with guest departures by retrieving luggage, arranging transportation, and ensuring a gracious farewell experience.
- Ensure the lobby, entryway, and luggage storage areas are clean, organized, and free from clutter.
- Provide support for special guest requests, such as assisting with large groups, arranging event transportation, or facilitating guest deliveries.
- Cross-Train as Front Desk Agent to assist with check-in, check-out, room moves, and other duties as assigned.
- Assist with other duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS

- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to work quickly and multi-task.
- Prior experience in a luxury hotel or upscale hospitality–related certification is a plus
- Work authorization in the United States
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to eight hours per shift.
- Must be able to maneuver luggage carts weighing up to 200 pounds and lift and carry items up to 100 pounds.
- Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write in the basic English language.
- Flexible schedule required for AM and PM shifts.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers, members of the business community and fellow resort employees. Ability to effectively present information.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
