Tune Shop- Tech
SUMMARY
Repair and maintain rental fleet and guest equipment. Adjust rental equipment to manufacturer specs. Handle guest and customer requests with efficiency and a good attitude. A strong knowledge of equipment and tuning practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Repair and maintain guest equipment to the highest standards.
- Inspect and ensure integrity of equipment, reporting any deficiencies.
- Adjust rental equipment to manufacturer specs.
- Handle guest and customer requests with efficiency and good attitude.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Handle all equipment with respect and maintain a safe working environment.
- Complete all reports on repaired equipment in a timely manner.
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
- Weekly tuning of rental fleet
- Helping with Demo Days
- Maintain tune shop facility and all machinery and tools
- Work with Guest Services Director and Rental Manager on shop Policy and staff development
QUALIFICATIONS

- 1+ years ski/snowboard/bike tune shop or equivalent experience.
- Strong Knowledge of tuning practices
- Must enjoy working and interacting with the public.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask
- Strong people skills and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be over 18 years of age
- Detail Oriented
- Exceptional Computer skills.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Prior work experience with a ski resort, seasonal business and/or the hospitality industry is highly preferred. Willing to train the right individual
- 1+ years ski/snowboard tune shop or equivalent experience.
- Preferred High School Diploma
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- Frequent walking, standing, and talking in both noisy and quiet locations.
- Important to be able to hear and speak in noisy and quiet surroundings continuously.
- Frequent bending, climbing, kneeling squatting, twisting/turning from waist and pushing/pulling objects both with and without wheels.
- Will be working with hands and fingers and lifting and moving objects up to 75 pounds horizontally and vertically on a regular basis.
